John G. Murphy

I have worked as a facilitator in mental health, personal wellness and meditation since 2011. With a degree in Economics and Finance from University College Dublin, a Postgraduate in Workplace Wellness from Trinity College Dublin focusing on stress management, together with having a Level 2 Equine Assisted Therapy Practitioner (ACCPH Accredited), a QQI Level 6 Trainer and Certified in Integral Sound Therapy, I bring a well-rounded approach to wellness. Additionally, I am a certified Mental Health First Aider.

Currently, I am facilitating An Feirm Ground, a nationwide programme co-funded by the HSE, Department of Health, and Department of Agriculture, training agricultural professionals as health connectors to address the mental health challenges in Ireland’s farming community.

Through years of research, facilitation and self-exploration, I uncovered how stress limits our potential preventing us from living a life in harmony. To address this, I developed the ABCs of Stress Management programme which I offer currently in Ireland and the UK to professionals primarily in healthcare, and work with teams of psychotherapists, counsellors, dentists, veterinarians, GPs and other healthcare providers. This programme has successfully empowered individuals, groups, and organizations to understand the nature of stress, its impact on the body and mind and how it hinders the discovery of our true nature. The programme provides practical tools and techniques to navigate the pitfalls of stress, fostering a more fulfilling, balanced, harmonious life.

Tara Eastwood Lyons

My background is in law and prior to moving to the West of Ireland I was working as a solicitor and insurance specialist. When lockdown hit I decided to pursue other interests and completed a Level 2 in Equine Assisted Therapy (ACCPH accredited), a Professional Certificate in plant based cooking and fermentation. During this time I developed our own naturally fermented apple cider vinegar infused with herbs from the farm which is available to buy from our website.

I have a particular interest in food and herbs and the role of plant and herbal remedies for ourselves and in particular for our animals here on the farm. We use a combination of herbal remedies, essential oils and homeopathy for treating the animals here. I am also training our herd of beautiful Connemara horses to become therapy horses and designing programmes on the farm which will be available sometime in the near future.

I have also recently been experimenting with various ways in which we can use the wool from our sheep once they have been shorn, including felting and spinning. I hope to be able to offer a number of wool products for sale from our wooly friends soon!

The farm

Our farm is a working farm that’s nestled in the serene landscapes of the West of Ireland and holds a rich tapestry of history and nature.  We are an organic, regenerative farm and our focus is on the enrichment of biodiversity and the restoration of natural habitats as part of our efforts in a life In Harmony with nature.

Our farm is not just a place but a sanctuary for both the soul, the land and the animals that live here.  We rear a flock of sheep for wool as we believe wool is one of the most precious materials that nature provides and soon we hope to introduce organic handmade wool products from the farm.  We also have horses who offer such vitality and comforting energy to us and the farm and are currently being trained as therapy horses.  We are also blessed with an abundance of wild berries and herbs growing in the hedgerows which we use to infuse our vinegars with.

The farm truly serves as a wellspring of inspiration for all the programmes, meditations and products we offer and has taught us many of the virtues of a Life In Harmony.
